Feathered Friends
As you can probably guess by now, I like birds! Especially Bluebirds. I have a small collection of
bluebird things around the house.
I have several feeders in the yard and enjoy watching all the different kinds come to feed. I keep
a list of the ones I can identify and now have over 40.
I'll have to say Hummingbird watching is my favorite. You can get right out among them to take pictures.
It soon will be time to put out the feeders. I've read April 20th. is when the scouts come, so I have
my feeders out a couple of days before. Usually a least one shows up on the 19th. or 20th.
I rescued this one after it had gotten knocked out on the deck. I picked it up and let it feed and
it perked up and flew off after awhile.
I had a bird I couldn't identify come the other day. I sent the a picture to All About Birds
and they identified it as a female Red-winged Blackbird. I was surprise because they look nothing like the male.

More Birds
This Luzuli Bunting was a surprise visitor since their range is usually
no farther east than northwestern Okla.
While investigating an extremely old abandoned house, I was surprised to peak around the corner and find this! A young Turkey Vulture.
